Hi all! (I'm new! )
I've been trying for a while now to get my Peg 1 (April 1 fix) to work, but so far it doesn't give me any replies of working.
I have a Hercules 3D Prophet 9200 SE card (=Radeon 9200 SE) which works in my PC, but in my Peg I don't even get a signal on my monitor.
Second, if I attach a harddisk it doesn't seem to work. When I attach only the power cable, the drive spins up, but when I attach the IDE cable it doesn't. I've tried this with both IDE connectors, and all jumper settings on the drive (master, slave, cable select). The drive is new.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Is the board defective maybe?
Thanks in advance!

When it comes to graphics cards, there are two standards, if I don't remember things wrong, the Pegasos needs a 3.3V card (but you shouldn't be able to connect the wrong type of card).
I would suggest you try with another older card (PCI card goes well too), if you still don't get it to work, then the mainboard may be damaged. If it will work with another graphics card, the hard drive trouble may disappear too (in case you tested the hard drive without graphics card installed, then I would say at once that there is some damage on your Pegasos, I suggest you contact bPlan). |

The graphics should work, since it's a standard Radeon 9200SE card (AGP), which obviously works with quite a number of other Peg users.
I've also tried with an older gfx card from my girlfriends computer, but that doesn't work either: no signal.
I already have tested it with harddrive and without gfx card, and then still the drive doesn't spin up.
On the German Pegasos forum they suggest it's a RAM problem, so I'll have to try that as well, though the previous owner has tested it correctly with the RAM that is currently in it.
And how can I contact bPlan? |
