Hello!
I´ve got an RTL 8139C but it´s really slow. The 100MBit switch indicates that the card is only 10MBit. Is there anything I should configure in Miami to get the speed right? I´ve got a Pegasos 1. |

The MorphOS drivers aren't the all best drivers, the fault could be there or in Miami (never really liked it, always been an AmiTCP user), you could try AmitCP too (there is a demo to download at AmiNet). |

Thanks for the info.
When I wrote the question, the speed was around 200KB/s. Now it´s between 1 - 1.5MB/s which is alot better. Not as fast as the internal networkcard, but at least it doesn´t freeze my Peg at all. |

You could try the OpenPCI driver and see if that would boost your preformance.
As both Miami/MiamiDX and AmiTCP is written for mc68k and they are a bit old too, from a time when most people still only had 10Mbit cards, they won't preform as good as AmiTCP-PPC (the unreleased AmiTCP for MorphOS).
The driver you can find at: http://www.chez.com/titan/DevPCI.html |
